La casa dove lincoln morì si trova proprio davanti al Ford teather, dove egli fu sparato. Noi la abbiamo vista solo da fuori ma si poteva acquistare il biglietto ed entrare. Da fare se si sono già viste tutte le principali attrazioni.

This is part of the ticket from Fords Theater and is certainly worth walking across the street for.

Such a sad place to visit knowing this is where President Lincoln took his last breath. It is interesting, though, to learn about other factors such as this boarding house was full making it difficult to determine where to put Lincoln, a room set aside for Lincoln's family, and a room set aside for government personnel. Tours are mostly self- guided - except briefly when upon entering the house - of the first and third floors. Upon descending the third floor is a stack of "books" (over 15,000 solely about Linchpin) that reach all three floors. Compared to Ford's Theater, this is a very brief tour which is also free of charge; however, tickets need to be picked up at the box office in Ford's Theater.

Entrance to the House begins with you walking through the rooms and hallway of the building until reaching the very room Lincoln died in. At some historical sites like the White House, you are unable to feel the history of the area and are detached due to other reasons, at this site, you feel the history while standing in the very same room Lincoln died in. It's creepy to be standing in that very same room where America's best president tragically lost his life.

Other than that, there's a cool exhibit upstairs showing sheer amount of books written about Lincoln, and showing a poster with Washington and Lincoln side by side: stating how Washington made our country, and Lincoln saved our country.

Very interesting to see where Abraham Lincoln was taken after being shot by Booth in Ford's Theatre. Unfortunately, President Lincoln perished in this house. Very interesting historically. It's a very small display in this house so if the line is really long, I would say to do something else then circle back to see if the line is more manageable as I can tell that there are definitely times when you'll be waiting in line longer than it takes to see everything in this historic site.

Just across the street from Ford's Theatre, it amazes me to be in the space of Lincoln's final hours. Entrance is up a small half-spiral staircase. Next to the building is a snack continuation of Lincoln's Legacy, culminating in a rather awe-inspiring stack of seemingly endless Lincoln Biographies down a spiral staircase. As of Oct. 1st the first floor of the gift shop area is under renovation, but there is still access to the elevators to the upper floors.

Abraham Lincoln was shot at the theatre and brought here where he died. The ticket I bought online for Ford’s Theatre also included the Peterson House. Be sure to check the details before buying. The ranger gives a little detail and lets small groups at a time. It’s a very short tour. Be sure to check out the tower of books all based on Lincoln.

It was interesting to walk through to see where Lincoln died. I only have it 4 stars because the ranger that was talking when we went in kept going on and on before letting us tour. There was a big group of us in the door and nobody on the outside could get in. He kept rambling on and after the first 10 min. It got pretty annoying.
